Tye is your typical, die-hard footy fan. He can recall any stat, name any player and tell you exactly where the Parramatta Eels sit on the leader board without hesitation!
Tye recently turned 18 and along with the pressures of growing up Tye struggles with a kidney condition which makes his every day that little bit harder. So, a break from the constant routine and pressures of his medical condition was exactly what this family needed.
For Tye’s Starlight Wish, Tye and his whole family went to the State of Origin game two decider. In the lead up week, Tye and his family attended the NSW Blues’ final training session where they were given privileges that even the media weren’t entitled to!
Tye got to visit the locker room, observe the warm up and cool down session and join the players on the field at ANZ Stadium for a kick. Tye was even given a special origin football signed by the whole team for him to keep. We just couldn’t wipe the smile off Tye’s face when he met his idol, Parramatta fullback Jarryd Hayne!
